A Playoff Campaign Built to Stand Out, Recognized at WINA 2026 Festival

Black Box Productions named a WINA 2026 winner for the NDAX NHL Playoffs campaign

Black Box Productions has been named a winner at the 2026 WINA Festival for its work on the NDAX NHL Playoffs campaign, recognized in the Film category.

The World Independent Advertising Awards (WINA) celebrates independent agencies and creative companies from around the world. For BBP, the recognition matters not just because it adds another award to the shelf, but because it reflects the kind of work we aim to create with our clients: campaigns that are strategically grounded, creatively sharp, and strong enough to stand alongside international work.

Awards are meaningful, but they are not the only measure of a video’s success. The real measure is business impact: helping a brand stand out, reach the right audience, and give the marketing team work they can bring back to leadership with confidence.

A Campaign Built for Creative Impact and Performance

The campaign was developed around the NHL Playoffs, using hockey culture as a way to make crypto feel more familiar, more trustworthy, and more Canadian. Instead of relying on the usual crypto clichés, the campaign brought NDAX into a setting people already understood: the locker room, the banter, the dry humour, and the rhythm of beer league hockey.

That made room for serious messages to land in a more natural way. Transparency, low fees, regulation, and education are not always easy ideas to communicate in a crowded financial category. Through the campaign, those ideas became part of a story people could actually enjoy watching.

Black Box Productions led the work from strategy through scripting, casting, production, and post-production. The campaign was completed in just six weeks from greenlight to delivery, with 48 video variations created for TV, YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and Connected TV.

Those variations were a key part of the strategy. Different endings, calls to action, and platform-specific versions gave the NDAX team room to test the campaign, learn from performance, and improve efficiency across channels.

For Black Box Productions, the recognition is a proud moment, but the value of the work goes beyond the award itself. The goal was never just to make something polished but to help NDAX stand out in a category where trust matters, attention is difficult to earn, and audiences are quick to tune out anything that feels too technical or too forced.

Let’s Create Campaigns People Actually Want to Watch

Awards are always appreciated. But the better measure of a campaign is whether it helps a brand communicate more clearly, earn attention, and give its team work they can stand behind.

The NDAX NHL Playoffs campaign did exactly that. Black Box Productions works with brands, agencies, and marketing teams that need creative content built with strategy, craft, and production discipline.
