Conference & Event Video Production
Most conferences and events leave 90% of their video opportunity on the table. We treat your event as the most efficient shoot day you'll have all year — capturing highlights, evergreen interviews, exhibitor showcases, and pre-recorded segments that fuel months of content after the lights come down.
Strategic event video production helps conferences, trade shows, summits, and live events create value long after they end. When the right people gather in one place, it becomes an opportunity to build content for marketing, sales, recruitment, brand positioning, thought leadership, and future event promotion.
Black Box Productions helps organizations turn live events into useful video assets such as highlight videos, executive interviews, keynote coverage, social content, sponsor videos, and trade show booth videos.
Event Video Built Around Long Term Content Value
This planning shapes what we capture, who we interview, which moments matter most, and how the final assets should function across platforms. A keynote may become a full-length archive, a series of short-form clips, and a thought leadership campaign. A trade show presence may become a booth video, a recap film, social cutdowns, and sales follow-up content. A sponsor activation may become proof of market presence, momentum, and brand alignment within a live industry environment.
The result is an event production built for strategic reuse, not one-off coverage.
Our Work
Black Box Productions has produced conference, trade show, and event video content for organizations ranging from global technology companies to national institutions and industry exhibitors. Each project reflects a different event objective, from virtual conference production to booth engagement and sponsor activation coverage.
IBM Think Summit Canada
IBM Think Summit Canada demonstrates how event video can evolve into a multi-year, multi-format content partnership.
During the pandemic, IBM transitioned Think Summit into a virtual conference format and partnered with Black Box Productions to help produce video segments for its first virtual Think Summit Canada. The production focused on making complex topics around modernization, enterprise technology, and digital transformation feel clear, engaging, and accessible for an online audience.
Rather than treating the virtual format as a limitation, the content was shaped to feel dynamic and watchable. Filmed alongside the chef from Montréal’s SAT Foodlab, the production blended executive insight, technical subject matter, and creative storytelling to support a stronger viewer experience.
AJW Trade Show Booth Video
AJW needed to stand out in a crowded trade show environment where attendees were moving quickly, and audio could not be relied on. The objective was not simply to create a video for a screen. It was to create a visual hook that could pull attention from across the expo floor and communicate the message quickly.
Black Box Productions developed a trade show booth video designed for silent viewing, strong visual pacing, and immediate message absorption. Motion, concise on-screen communication, and bold visual sequencing helped the content function in a competitive booth environment where every second mattered.
Displayed on an 86-inch screen during a major industry event, the video became a central part of AJW’s booth presence and supported engagement with thousands of attendees over a three-day period.
Multiplier at Running Remote
Multiplier’s presence at Running Remote required event coverage that captured more than attendance. The goal was to communicate the company’s visibility, energy, and positioning within a live industry environment.
Black Box Productions focused on sponsor activation coverage, event atmosphere, and the momentum surrounding Multiplier’s presence at the conference. The content captured interactions, branded moments, audience engagement, and the overall feeling of being active within a relevant industry space.
What We Produce
Black Box Productions produces conference and event content for brands, institutions, agencies, and organizations that need more than basic documentation.
Event highlight videos capture the energy, audience engagement, keynote moments, networking, and overall atmosphere of the experience. These films are often used for post-event marketing, future event promotion, sponsor recaps, internal communications, and brand awareness.
Evergreen thought leadership interviews allow organizations to capture valuable insight while key people are already gathered in one place. These interviews can support website content, sales enablement, recruitment marketing, social campaigns, podcast extensions, and long-form thought leadership. For organizations investing in authority-building content, the event environment can become one of the most efficient opportunities to capture expert perspectives.
Keynote and stage coverage gives teams a professional record of presentations, panels, fireside chats, roundtables, awards segments, and internal sessions. This content can be preserved in full or shaped into shorter clips for educational, promotional, and social use.
Trade show booth videos are designed for fast-moving environments where attention is limited and sound is often unavailable. These videos need strong visual pacing, clear on-screen messaging, motion-driven communication, and immediate impact from across a crowded expo floor.
Together, these assets can turn a single event into a multi-platform content ecosystem.
Our Approach
Event production requires more than showing up with cameras. Live environments move quickly. Schedules change. Speakers run late. Important conversations happen between planned moments. Strong event coverage depends on preparation, adaptability, and a clear understanding of what the final content needs to achieve.
Black Box Productions combines strategic planning with high-quality production execution, so every capture decision is connected to a larger content purpose. We identify priority moments, plan for multi-format deliverables, guide interview subjects when needed, and structure coverage around the platforms where the content will eventually live.
This allows organizations to leave an event with more than a recap. They leave with a library of content that can support campaigns, sales conversations, internal communications, recruitment, sponsor reporting, future event promotion, and long-term brand positioning.
Why Black Box Productions
With 15+ years of experience producing branded content, commercials, corporate video, and marketing video for organizations across North America, Black Box Productions understands that event content needs to move quickly, communicate clearly, and remain useful long after the event ends.
We bring a strategy-first approach to conference and event production, helping teams identify what should be captured, how it should be shaped, and where the content can create value after the event. Our experience across live environments, interviews, branded storytelling, trade show content, and multi-platform deliverables allows us to support both the immediate needs of an event and the longer-term goals of the brand.
From virtual conferences and live summits to trade shows, sponsor activations, executive interviews, and keynote coverage, we help organizations create event content that feels polished, purposeful, and built for real business use.

Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly can you turn around an event highlight video?
Same-day social cuts are realistic when we plan for them in advance. A polished one to two minute highlight reel typically lands within 5 to 10 business days after the event. Tighter timelines are possible with an on-site editor, which we add when speed matters.
What's the difference between event coverage and a recap video?
Event coverage means we capture the full day: keynotes, sessions, hallway moments, and attendee reactions. A recap video is the curated story we build from that footage, designed to sell next year's attendance or prove ROI to sponsors. Most clients want both.
How do you capture clean audio in a busy conference hall?
We feed directly from the venue's audio board for keynote and stage audio, and we run our own lavaliers for sit-down interviews in quieter rooms. For attendee reactions on the show floor, we use directional shotgun mics with windscreens to isolate the speaker.
Can you cover multi-day or multi-city events?
Yes. We scale crew, gear, and editorial to the event. For multi-day conferences we typically run two camera teams and a roaming interview unit. For multi-city tours, the same creative direction follows the event, with local crew added under our supervision when travel doesn't make sense.
What deliverables do we get from a conference shoot?
A typical package includes a hero recap, a longer sizzle for sales and sponsor decks, individual keynote and session recordings, speaker quote clips, and vertical cuts for social. We map the deliverables to your marketing and sponsorship needs before the event.
