L’Équipeur (aka Mark’s outside of Quebec) wants to remind everyone that Father’s Day is just around the corner. A few weeks ago, Notch Video contacted us to create the French component of L’Équipeur’s national Father’s Day video campaign.
With the intention of increasing exposure to Francophone participants, we filmed in Laval. Our “living room” set was built inside a mall where anyone passing by could easily see what was going on and participate. After ten hours of filming, we had an extensive collection of interviews with local shoppers. We took the best responses from participants and cut our footage down to a 90 second spot.
The mall was an ideal location for getting a diverse group of participants. This public activation also helped us to create an association between L’Équipeur and showing some love for Québecois dads. In doing so, current customers felt closer to the brand while potential customers were able to connect with the campaign emotionally.
